column lines not exactly horizontal or vertical

    Hello All,

I received a drawing from a client and some of the column grid lines are not
perfectly horizontal or vertical. The lines are off by, at most, only a
couple degrees. And each one can be off by a different amount. What makes it
worse is depending on how much my screen is zoomed in or out, the lines may
or may not visually be slanted. Has anyone automated a fix for this problem.
It would be very much appreciated. Thanks alot.

    Ken (and all) -

To make the best use of the Autodesk Discussion Groups, be sure
to limit cross posting across many groups when sending a message.
Cross-posts often dilute the subject focus when posted in
inappropriate forums. Please take the time to determine the
appropriate discussion group for your message, then post
accordingly. See the Index of groups at
    http://discussion.autodesk.com/forum.jspa.

    To all,

Sorry about that. Is the autodesk.autocad.customization discussion group
still active? It doesn't look like anyone has posted anything on there in a
    while.

You may have to reset it if you use a newsreader. IExplorer right click
    autodesk.autocad.customization>properties>local files>reset. They had over
    20+ today.

yes, i would like to know how to make the lines orthogonal, also. However, I think that is just sloppy and lazy drafting.

    ortho on
    CHANGE
    Select Objects <get 'em>
    Select Objects <enter>
Specify change point or [Properties]: <pick where you want 'em to stop>
    you're done

not quite. Its a lot more complicated than that. Also have to determine which end is at the correct dimension. . . or if either end is at the correct dimension.

It'd be easier to re-build them

Exactly, one wonders why everything works as well as it does with all the ignorance and sloppy and lazy work that is done. The profession employs people, who barely speak English, doing work upon which work lives depend when an seismic event occurs.

I've been watching this for a couple of days and keep thinking exactly
what you said - redraw the whole da%$ thing. What a waste of time - why
doesn't the original party know enough to set ortho on in the first
    place?
