Collaborative Design (Web-based X-REFS)

    Hi.

I am trying to configure AutoCAD so that our distributed team can work
on the same drawings over the Internet using a web-based EDMS
    (Document Management system).

AutoCAD appears to support this, in that we are able to add X-REFS
which are located on web sites. However, while this allows us to make
reference to X-REFS which are available to everyone from within a
common drawing there is a flaw - the X-REFS do not get automatically
    updated.

It appears that the only way to update each X-REF is to remove the
locally held copy which is copied the first time the file is opened by
anyone. Even when the file is _explicitly_ set to check for updates (I
assume on the web) this appears not to work.

Am I misunderstanding this functionality or is this a bug?

I have read somewhere that this functionality _is_ supported by
Buzzsaw which appears to be very similar to the tool we are using and
so I assume it must be a configuration issue.

Any help would be gratefully received.

    Thanks.

    Steve.
