Clipped Raster Image Plot Quality

    I have a Raster Image which has been inserted into a drawing, and plots correctly at a high quality. However, when I clip the same image to some boundaries, the plot quality decreases to a very pixilated form. Why might this be so. I have changed my OLE plot settings to photo quality in autocad tool, but to no avail. What is annoying me is that I have clipped images before and have plotted perfectly. Someone please help me!!!
