CHANGING COLOR ON ASSY LEVEL...BUG?

    HOW DO YOU CHANGE COLOR ON THE ASSY LEVEL W/OUT AFFECTING THE PART LEVEL? I
    HAVE A PART A DOOR SKIN + PART B PAINT = PART C OR D (ASSY) DEPENDING ON
    THE COLOR. I NEED TO BE ABLE TO CHANGE COLOR ON THE ASSY LEVEL SO AS NOT O
    MESS UP THE OTHER ASSY'S. I'VE TRIED "CHANGE AT ASSY LEVEL" BUT IT CHANGES
    THE PART TOO. TIA

    Got it thanks. I was selecting faces like it used to work. select the part
    then apply the color and it works fine...THANKS BOB Z!!!
