I've recently run into a problem creating drawings in SW2006, where as
my projected views come out European style instead of American style.
To clarify, when I create a projected view to the right, instead of the
right side of the part showing, the left side shows. I've gone through
options and setup in SW a dozen times and can't find what I would need
to change to correct this. If any one knows what I'm talking about and
knows where this can be corrected, please let me know. I didn't even
realize that I had this problem until a vendor came back with a "What
are you trying to do" comment. Appreciate any help.

Have a look a "sheet properties", where you can set first- or third-angle projection. If the
projection is wrong in more than one drawing, your templates may need to be edited.

That's exactly what I needed, Thanks. Couldn't find it for love or
    money.

Be careful that your templates are stored with the right setting.
Unless they've changed something, SolidWorks installs by default, even
with an ANSI installation, with First Angle Projection drawing
template. Also, the viewport orientation is by default First Angle,
even with American ANSI installs. Write your congressman, or at least
try to submit this as a bug. I'm sure this is not intentional.
