Cells with Tags

Discussion in 'Microstation' started by Chuck Dinkins, Jul 9, 2003.

  1. I am wanting to create a cell with data fields/tags, that upon insertion
    will prompt me to key in text. There has got to be a way to do this, but I
    can not figure it out.

    Thanks,
    Chuck

    I'm afraid there is no way built into MicroStation of doing this.
    There may well be a simple macro that will do it.

    If you are placing a cell of a known name you could use the following keyin
    in a menu, assigned to a function key, settings manager etc.fields:-

    ac=mycellname;/;edit auto;xy=

    This places a cell of a known name. The / waits for input (place the cell).
    edit auto edits all blank data fields in the view.
    This is not perfect but requires no programming ability
