Can't freeze layer(s) in a layout viewport

    Acad 2002...
    While in a layout I use the Layer Properties Menager to
    freeze some layers in a current viewport...But nothing
    hapens...Frozen layers are still visible (sic).
    What went wrong?

    Pick one of the still visible objects (select it) and look at the layer
    toolbar. Did you freeze the correct layer? Was the correct viewport the
    current one while freezing the layer(s)?

    (must admit my stupid mistake: I didn't make the viewport
    current) :-//
    I solved the problem (with myself) :)
