Trying to clean up my drives, and I have several old image files (most in
..psd format, with layers intact) that when I try to delete them I get an
error message that "there has been a sharing violation, or the file is in
use". I can't delete them, move them, or rename them without this same
message. Any ideas? I'm running Windows 2000 Pro. TIA

It means what it says. The file is in use. Some application has this
file open and you cannot modify/delete an open file. Google it -> there
are methods to find out what application has the file open.

Well, apparantly you CAN delete an open file. Guy in another newsgroup
suggested booting up, hitting F8 to go into safe mode, finding the files,
and deleting them. Worked like a charm, and so quick, safe and simple.
Just thought I'd pass along a good tip.
