Can not copy drawing - error with VBA (ACAD 2000)

Hi,

I am using AutoCAD 2000 under Win 2000 for architectural drawings.

Today, while trying to copy a part of a drawing from a dwg file to another
dwg file (copy & paste) I encountered the following problem: I could not
paste it because (acISMui.arx cannot find a dll or other file that it
needs).

After that, I wanted to reinstall A'CAD and failed installing the
VBA-Components (error code). I searched the web, including AutoDesks site,
but could not find something helpful.

I found and installed a service pack (German), but after that I could not
start A'CAD any more - incorrect ACAD.xmx file was the result.

I am in an urgent need to finish my drawing, so any help will be appreciated
very much - thank you very, very much in advance!

After hours and hours of installing and deinstalling, I finally succeeded
installing AutoCAD without geting errors - but the problem remains: I can
not pase drwaings that I copied to the clipboard - I did not get a error or
message - nothing happens when I choose "paste" or "Paste with original
coordinates" ...
