can i create a soild with reference to a particular point on other object...using vba..

    hi..
    i wouldlike to know whether it is possible to create a box at point on
    other object( say center of a face of cylinder), that is predefined...
    and i want to align(or move) the end of this newly created box to other
    soild(that is already present). all this should happen at the run time
    with out any user input.

    so ultimately i want to create a solid that varies in size according to
    the requirement..whose top and bottom portions never change and only
    the middle inserted box length changes (say from 0 to L)...
    hpoe i am making some sense in defining the problem..
    can i do it with VBA..
