CADJet 2 plotting acrosds the roll

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by George Drayton, Feb 10, 2004.

  1. Has anyone found a technique of plotting across the paper roll for a
    CADJet2 - I am trying to plot A2 plots across a 600mm or 24" wide roll. I
am using the A2002 with the XP driver just downloaded from the EnCAD web
site. It seems reluctant to plot across the sheet in the correct position
(plot is displaced to the right by half the sheet size). Thanks

i have done the following with a HP 750C, also a HPGL/2 ploter:
    On the plotter, AutoRotate= OFF
use a print server: on 1 computer install the plotter. This should be a Windows 2000 or XP machine (Pro or server, your choice)
After installation in Windows, check the plotter properties so that they match your plotter (24"roll, memory, ...)
Let the plotter stand in Portrait.
    Then go Settings -> Printers
in that window, Do File -> Server Properties
    Tabsheet Forms, make new Form
Set the Width as 24" and the height the size you want the roll to roll (like 16,55 inch or 421 mm for the A2)
    Give it the name A2_H.
    For a A3_H the size would be witdh 24" (= roll witdh) height= 297 mm (or 300mm)
Then go to the document defaults of the plotter and choose A2_H as standard sheet.
Now plot form Excel an AutoCAD on these sheets, in PORTRAIT !

  3. My Cadjet 2 does that properly (LT2002 and R2004, Win2KPro). Could you
post the settings you're using on the plotter, in the plotter driver
properties, and in the AutoCAD plotting popup? I suspect it's a
conflict with the auto-rotate function in the plotter. The plotter
needs to be set to be controlled by AutoCAD.
