    any body tell me, how can we calculate the power consumption of
    circuit using cadence.
    and also i want to know, how to plot Ids vs Vout graph, temperature
    analysis and so on.

    Hi USK,

    1. There are many ways doing this. One basic way to calcute the power
    is to know the current consumption and then multiply by the Supply
    voltage. How to achieve this ? Make a symbol for the design you want
    to simulate, say an 2-stage amplifier. Instantiate the symbol in a
    test bench schematic. Add the stimulus into that testbench, i.e. the
    input signals. Instead of connecting the Ground Pin of your Design
    Under Test directly into the ground, stick a 0V DC source from the
    analog lib or an iprobe from the basic lib anc then connect it to the
    ground. Look at V4 in the following example

    That Zero-Volt device would act as a current monitor. Probing this
    current and then multiplied by the VDD would give you the power. With
    this, you can measure either quiescent, static and dynamic power.

    2. Yes, all what you need is to run a DC sweep by varying either
    parameters you want.

    Hi USK, gpdk stands for Generic Process Design Kit. the gpdk is a
    kindof non-foundry PDK provided by Cadence.
