    POSITION

    CAD Administrator

    DESCRIPTION

    The CAD Administrator's role is to manage the complete operation of
    in-house CAD hardware & software within the organization. This includes
    developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and
    optimizing all CAD related issues across the enterprise. The CAD
    Administrator will also analyze and resolve end user CAD program issues
    in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user training when
    required.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Manage over 60 CAD users with an emphasis on Microstation.
    · Install, configure, and maintain CAD software and workstations.
    · Manage storage of all CAD related design files on UNIX and Windows
    based servers.
    · Manage UNIX CAD Server, including system updates, patches, and
    backup's.
    · Develop and maintain CAD standards.
    · Develop and conduct CAD training sessions for end users.
    · Manage custom Drawing Management system.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    · Associates or Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or
    computer science, and 5 years equivalent work experience.
    · Certifications in CAD, Windows servers, UNIX servers, and
    Networking are a plus.
    · At least 3 years direct experience operating, programming, and
    administrating CAD applications.
    · Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and
    implementation of CAD software solutions.
    · Experience in mechanical design and drafting methodologies are a
    plus.
    · Strong knowledge of UNIX operating systems (Tru64 desirable),
    Samba, Oracle, SQL, and Windows & UNIX scripting.
    · Good project management skills.
    · Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best
    practices and methodologies.
    · Strong customer-service orientation.
    · Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills,
    German language skills are a plus.
    · Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly
    language.
    · Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
    · Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure
    environment.
