c# and solidworks

  1. I'm trying to convinced my boss to go with C# for our future add-ins
development. So far so good, the c# add-in wizard works great! But I'd like
to copy the VB 6.0 functionnality that allows me to put on a form a PartDoc,
AssemblyDoc or DrawingDoc (simply select add components when right clicking
on the toolbox). That allows me to create a stand alone application.

Would anyone have any pointers on how to do this in C#?
Do I need to bury myself in COM litterature?

You can use the standard COM interfaces in .NET using VB.Net or C# to create
    stand alone applications.
