    Hi
Having now started to use the BOM system in SW2005 would like
to reduce the margins in the cells to reduce the overall width. How
    can I achieve this?

  2. The first thing is that you can drag the borders and control how the text
wraps. As far as reducing the min space before or after the heading, I
don't know of a way. If you want to remove the config name from the Qty.
field, double-click in the cell, delete the config name text, and also the
period at the end. If you leave the period, the config name will reappear.

You can reduce the column width by right-clicking on the column, then choose
Formatting - Column Width. In this way you can reduce the width, but if you
start dragging the column-width will be (to) wide again.

I found the border dragging OK and it can be quite usefull, if I have
a long blurb in the 'Description' column, to be able to force a wrap.
Its the 'Item' & 'Qty' columns that only have two digits in them that
take up about 50% more width than necessary because of the set
margins. As A3 is the max size sheet used & space can be at a premium.
