Bitmap OLE Objects in Paper Space

I have a customer that uses an OLE object bitmap for his company logo on his
border. When I insert the border as a block into a Layout (paperspace) the
border is fine but the BMP does not show up. However, when inserted in model
space, both show up fine. Has anyone noticed this anomaly? I know one
solution is to make a vector version of the logo, but it is a rather
complicated design. Also, I do not want to insert the logo as a linked
image, that is an extra step and file to keep track. Any ideas?

When I insert the border as a block into a Layout (paperspace) the
I've come to the conclusion that this is not possible. You just
can't depend on raster images staying with a drawing.

I, too, tried the INSERTOBJ method, and it will result in an embeded
image, but AutoCAD seems to have a lot of problems with this method.
In my case, the image won't display on screen, but plots fine. But
the biggest issue was that a small image (around 150k) would add 6meg
    to the drawing file size.

Thanks for the links, I obviously missed this one when searching:

"OLE objects are not displayed or plotted if they are within an inserted
block, inserted drawing, or an externally referenced drawing."

Mine did not display, the border obviously being an inserted drawing. I good
reason to keep using vector logos!
