bi-directional plot

    we have a 1050c printer and we want it to plot both direction or as you would call it bi-directional....how or where do you set so it do that? my last Job i have the same machine and it was set to do that, but that's was couple years ago....help! anyone...thanks.

    Its usually under the plotters properties

    there's nothing saying in the property about bi-direstional....if i remember correctly..there is a box for you to check..but, i see no box...is there something that need to add to the plotter before you could do that? advise, thanks.

    I believe setting the plotter to "Fast" or "Draft" mode sets it
    bi-directional. I think you can do this either in the driver or at the
    plotter.

    if its a network plotter I believe the only place you can change that is at
    the print server under your ports tab.

    I think he was talking about the print head plotting in both directions so
    plots come out faster. Bi-directionality at the ports usually has to do with
    communication parameters, and not print head movement. 'Good reminder,
    though...

    I think you are right John...serves me right for reading to fast.

    In that case, setting the plotter to plot at draft mode should accomplish
    that.
