Hi group, can someone please advice, what graphic-card would fit my need for: - XPpro - Intel board - SW 2001+ (sp3) - a normally Assemby File is with 10 - 20 parts - Most important, the graphic-card must not have "cooler-fan" I'm using now Oxygen VX1 32mb -but it's cut/jump when rotete view. Thanks Henrik
very doubtful there is such a thing. the graphics chips are pretty high power and inherently make a lot of heat.
Cheap solution: Look for any card with a NVIDIA Quadro4 380 XGL GPU, not the latest GPU and without a fan http://www.pny.com/products/quadro/xgl/380xgl.asp or a newer NVIDIA Quadro4 NVS GPU http://www.pny.com/products/quadro/nvs/280Nvsagp.asp For better 3D performance without fan look for the NVIDIA Quadro FX family http://www.pny.com/products/quadro/fx/700fx.asp or any other Quadro FX card (with fan!) Regards Patrick
I don't have an answer for you, but I am curious, why no >fan? I've built 1. it's noisy. 2. it is another fan that can get broken after few years and because it is a special made fan designed for GC, it is expensive to replace.
Henrik I can recommend you the PNY NVIDIA Quadro FX700. I use it with XP pro SP2, Intel Board, SW 2006 SP2. It is fanless (to me too, it was very important to have a professional GC without a fan). Regarding assembly files I'm not sure about 20 parts, but with 5-10 parts it works perfectly. Cheers, Gil
I think that you don't want to try the NVS series. As I recall, they are an exception to the "Quadro cards are good with SolidWorks". They are really 2D cards. Jerry Steiger Tripod Data Systems "take the garbage out, dear"
