    Have you figured out what he's selling? Himself, maybe? And his VAST
    (self-proclaimed, self-affirmed, self-validated) expertise. The scam antenna
    be a'tinglin'.

    You know Dave, you are such a cynic. It's not utterly unfeasible that
    he really is a gifted genius happy to help his fellows, for purely
    philanthropic motives is it?

    Oh, I don't know how cynical it is. I'm sure his pitching himself is one of
    the most common things in the world work. I've done it numerous times
    myself. The slightly sly, slightly unconventional part was making it sound
    like hiring him would be an act of his charity to his employer. While I
    can't think of an employer who wasn't better off for having hired me, I
    don't think I ever presented myself that way.
