    Dear Group;

    I was just given a computer with Autocad 2000i, and an elderly, but
    functional Calcomp artisan 1023.
    I can get some sort of plots with this combo, but I can never seem to
    get the paperspace/dimensions etc just right. ANyone out there have
    some advice for a newbie on what I might be doing wrong? help files
    and manuals have only gotten me so far.

    Thanks in dvance,

    M

    HiHo;
    In modelspace - model or draw at 1:1...

    In paperspace set *dimassoc* value to 2

    Scale the views in your viewports accordingly....say for example 1:10 and
    1:5, etc

    Paperspace dimension scale is set at 1:1 only...

    Then just dimension as normal in paperspace. All the dimensions should
    automatically follow the respective scale of the part in the viewport...

    NOTE: I use survey dimensioning so 1 foot=10 feet is a detail for me.
    In architectural dimensioning the ratio is different. 1 inch=12inches
    for 1 to 1. 1::24 = 1/2"=1 foot
