    Hi all,
I'm trying to create a civil baseline it's pretty much a centerline with
    tick marks
every 50' and a circle every 100'. anyone know where i can find such a
    linetype?

    thanks in advance,

  2. Ervin,

Do you have express tools installed? It has a tool called MKLTYPE with will
allow you to create your own civil baseline out of regular drawing objects.
Look MKLTYPE up in the express tools help. If you don't have express tools
loaded (They are available on the AutoCAD 2004 CD), then you should install
    them.

because the linetype has a definite modelspace distance, 50' 100' ... , you
must assign the linetype to an object and give the object an INDIVIDUAL
LTSCALE that is the reciprocal of the GLOBAL LTSCALE, so you must know what
the plotted scale will be and never plot the object at a different scale or
else the plotted spacing will incorrect

    *BASELINE,1/LTSCALE---- - ----|---- - ----o---- - ----|---- - ----o---- - --
    --|---- - ----o----
    A,22,-2,2,-2,22,["|",STANDARD,S=1,Y=-0.5],22,-2,2,-2,22,["O",STANDARD,S=1,Y=
    -0.5]
    ^
^- the 'A' stands for 'absolute' meaning the paperspace or plotted
appearance is always the same, according to LTSCALE. autocad doesnt have an
option like 'R' where the ltscale is ignored and the plotted appearance
depends on the scale of the view.
