bad plotting

    A friend in another office has a problem with printing autocad. He has
    an old computer with windows 98 which will print autocad 2000 fine. The
    problem is his new computer with windows xp prints the lines all funny
    and dotted. He wants to get this fixed.

    He has an HP 430 large plotter and a Hp 5p laser printer for 8.5x11 and
    11x17.

    Any suggestions for what I should look for when i go over? (all ready
    thinking that he has shaded plot on or a bad ctb file)
