Background masking toggle

    Can anyone think of a way to turn off background masking *temporarily* for a
    selection set of mtext/dims that are already masked?

    Then turn *just* them back on ?

    for mtext all you can do is create a lisp that removes masks and adds
    masks.. (the route we took).

    for dims, since masks are tied to the style, not the entity .. you will
    have a much harder time of doing what you want.

    I have one written by Lee Ambrosius that works just dandy.
    yeah, for now I have defined a dummy style that is a copy except for
    no-mask. I apply that to the dims.

    I need the masks off to do a colored rendering. The white squares all over
    the place look horrible. But then I need them back on for normal duties.

    I'm going to try some sort of xref/block/refedit/override combination next
    to see if its possible that way.

    hmm.. what white squares?.. what setting are you using for your masks?
