Automatically change properties of selected objects

    Is there a way to automatically change the layer of selected object types?

    I keep receiving drawings that have entities such a dimensioning created on
    multiple layers. This makes it a pain to work with the drawing.

    Surely, some smart person out there has a lisp routine that would
    automatically select like entities so that they can be changed in one shot.
