automatic block creation

    Can anyone help me with respect to creating individual blocks by the action of selecting the three objects each of which are on seperate layers and automatically converting them into a block by either a click or keyboard return key. i also want to do this without having to name them individually
    ( The reason there are 3 layers is to ensure the text, hatch and hatch borders show in the drawing in the correct order.)
