Automated uninstall of R14 and R2002

  1. Hi Gordon,

If you have no other Autodesk Products on the computer, you only need delete
the registry entries for "Autodesk" under Software in Local Machine and
    Current User.

The will be a few other left like recent files etc. but they are unlikely to
    be a worry.

There is a freeware program "Registrar Lite" which I've found very much
faster than Regedit for finding things in the registry. You could use it to
search for Autodesk and delete all items from the resultant list.

The uninstall will leave a few stray files behind and you can delete them
from the installation directories and the "...\Common Files\Autodesk Shared"
    directory with Windows Explorer.

Don't forget to defrag, before installing the new program.

I am getting ready to FINALLY roll out R2005, and I would love to have an
automated way to unsinstall both R14 and R2002, including a COMPLETE cleanup
of the registry. Anyone know of any resources on this?

    Thanks,
    Gordon

But what about other user registry settings. When I delete CurrentUser
logged in as Administrator I will clean that up, but when the machines user
logs back in, they will still have a bunch of registry stuff there. I was
hoping to be able to clean up all users from the Administrator login.

    Thanks for the info,
    Gordon
