Autodesk = Satan : Activation issues

I just purchased ADT 2006 and activated it, then applied SP1 due to
some issues that non-sp1 had with a lisp program that our office uses.
After the SP1 update it required that I re-activate the product and I
tried the same code to no avail. I told it to re-activate and it said
that the key was already activated and not available to activate. It
is a legit key I purchased form a very large retailer in CA, and I am
the only one with access to the key or CDs so I know it wasn't used
elsewhere or stolen. Has anyone else had these issues?

And why is Autodesk requiring this privacy and security discarding BS
    anyways? Greedy-assed bastards.

Probably because of the millions of illegal copies already out there.

Call your reseller, he will get you straightened out.

It's even easier... when the activation is rejected, it comes with a
phone # to call autodesk... Just call the number, explain your
situation, have serial # handy and they'll re-issue activation. Hold is
    surprisingly short.

It's actually easier to do then complain about it. ;)

The gripe was more out of frustration than anything...

It is taken care of after a call, but it is a bit irritating that one
has to go through such hastle after paying through the nose so
painfully; solely because Autodesk decides that their new version is so
much better that you are no longer allowed to use 3.3 (if you wish the
ability to communicate efficiently with your subs that is.)

Get on subscription, then you can legally use your older releases.
