What are the pro's and/or con's to using windows system printers rather than
    AutoCad printers?

  2. I assume you are talking about Pc3 printers vs. window system printers
rather than Heidi vs. windows drivers.

With that assumption aside, the one example I can speak from is HP
plotters. One, I am not sure the driver
utilizes its CAD optimization if one does not use the pc3. Second, certain
    driver options are only available
in the optimized (pc3) printer. The main one for me is LINE MERGE control.
It can only be altered with
the pc3 printer. The "filter paper sizes" is also pretty convenient.

I'm sure there is a more sophisticated answer out there, but those litttle
things are significant enough for me.
