AutoCAD TIP: Continuous Pan

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Tracy W. Lincoln, Nov 22, 2004.

  1. garfieldgurl,

As Matt stated, this is typical... eventually your video card's memory will
require a REGEN in order to allow you to PAN farther, sometimes happens when
zooming way in or way out.

I have also noticed you have been asking (posting) a lot of ADT screen shots
in the AutoCAD General discussion groups, please note that there are ADT
    specific discussion groups.

The Autodesk Architectural Desktop Index can be accessed by the HTTP
(web-based) interface at (and then select the interface type and correct
    group):

Sorry Tracy, I knew about the ADT forums, and when i was browsing through the questions, all I saw was ADT problems with doors, windows, etc. My problems were mostly basic Autocad stuff and that's why i decided to ask here. Is there a difference between ACAD and ADT for basic commands? I've used both and they seem exactly the same to me, except for the extra toolbars.

  3. No apology needed, I was merely making sure you were aware of the ADT
    groups.

As for the diffeences, I do not use ADT so I wouldn't know... but even with
many of the common settings/commands ADT probably uses settings that are
defined in Styles and I would assume the automation calls these settings
(that may or may not be obvious) that are not available in plain AutoCAD.

Your best bet is to ask where you think it applies or you can get a
solution... most notably where it will do the users of those applications
(and the spefic releases) the most good. I would opt for the higher 9or
more elaborate vertical product first, in your case ADT) and then persue the
AutoCAD groups. Typically the ADT peeps are aware of what is base AutoCAD
and what is ADT specific, were an stock AutoCAD person (like myself) would
not even be aware of what could be affected, set or changed if ADT is
    installed.

Good luck, hope you find whatever help you need, wherever it comes from.
