Autocad PS or PDF print problem

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Marijan Poljak, May 25, 2004.

  1. We have large autocad file (map with many layers and rasters). We need to
export it to PDF or PS.
Error occured while doing it is "out of memory".

Configuration we are using is 3.2 GHz Intel CPU i 2GB RAM + 2 SATA discs.

Can someone advise us what to do next.
Are there parameters in Acrobat or AutoCAD we need to set different that
    would help?
    Would more RAM (4GB) help?
Or we need more powerful workstation? Like what?

    Please advise us on mail

    Thanks

How are you attempting to do the export? What software, etc.? It's unlikely
that shortage of RAM is the problem.

  3. We tried with Acrobat Destiller and PDF Factory. Same error occured. There

is too much raster data maybe.

Is there some parameter to set the memory usage, because when error occures

all memory is still not in use?

With files that large, it could simply be a disk storage (not RAM)
    limitation.
