Autocad Map 2000i Dialog box + setvar issue!!!

    Autocad Map 2000i issue.
    Dialog box does not appear when attempting to use map functions, either
    icon, pulldown menu and command line. There's gotta be a system variable to
    set this option, I'm familiar with the standard variables for dialog boxes
    like FILEDIA and ATTDIA, but can not find one for the Map features.

    When I try to search for the variable using the SETVAR command and select
    the ? and * to view them all, Cad crashes with a fatal error.

    Can anybody help with the dialog box variable for the map functions??
    Anyone got a clue why Cad crashes from the SETVAR command???

    Any help would be great!!!!
