AutoCAD loses printer settings and closes

    Using AutoCAD R14 and HP DesignJet 500PS using latest driver available over USB connection.

    When selecting to print a drawing AutoCAD immediately closes. I have found a work around to this: open the printers options within AutoCAD, re-configure the existing printer (without making any changes.. just going through the process!) and then print. The printer will work fine for as many prints as I like. Proved this by closing AutoCAD, opening up an existing drawing without going through the configure process and AutoCAD closes again. I suspect a corrupt config file somewhere???!

    Has anyone any ideas?
