AutoCAD is Autosnapping in zoom>window when it didn't before

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Matthew Taylor, Jul 26, 2003.

  1. Does anyone know if there is a system variable that controls this?
On one of the computers where I work, it had a few strange glitches that
have now been fixed. However since this, when picking a window to zoom
    AutoCAD is behaving differently:
Previously if you went into zoom & picked a window the Autosnaps would be
disabled - you would have to manually pick a snap if you wanted one.

Now though on this machine the snap is still on when you pick a window to
zoom, so you have to remember to first select [none] as the snap type before
picking the window if it is on a complex drawing to make sure you actually
get the area that you wanted.

Does anyone know what would have caused this behaviour to change or how it
    can be fixed?

Go to Tools\Options\User preferences. At top-right, is priority set to
"Running object snap"? If so, pick one of the other options.

Put the "at" in the gap.

  3. That was it - I'd never found a need to change these settings before &
    forgotten that they were there.
It still doesn't explain how the settings changed on this machine though -
The user always denys making any changes, but a lot of strange things happen
that I've never seen on any other machines.

    Thanks

  4. It could be that some sloppy lisp routine changed a setting and never set it
    back.
