AutoCAD 2004 LT plotting problem

    When plotting from AutoCAD 2004 to a HP Designjet 500PS with HPGLcard, lines
    diverge (i.e., split in two), or plot double. Text looks like it's been
    printed twice, but slightly out of register so it looks blurred. These
    anomalies don't happen all over the drawing, but in small areas at random. I
    have installed all the latest plotter firmware, servicepack etc, realigned
    the printheads etc., but nothing I've tried so far has cured it....... Does
    anyone have any ideas?
