    R2005 Vlisp:

A long time ago when I was but a grasshopper at lisp, we had a guy from another company come in a set up AutoCAD R10 or 12.
He made up 5 title blocks that we use in our CNC programs. We use only one per drawing and when you insert the block, you are prompted for information like program name, part numbers and so on. This information is displayed above the title block in a "stacked" formation (one below each other).
The problem is: When the programs grew larger, the number of part numbers would not fit on one line and ran off the page. Instead of asking for a change in the title block, the CNC guys just started typing the extra part numbers above the attributes on a separate line.
Can I add another attribute to these title block and have the new attribute after the 3rd one in the existing stack of attributes in the block?
That way they could hit enter when too many part numbers are on one line and put the rest of the numbers on the next line.
I've been looking at the help files but some direction from an experienced attribute handler would be appreciated.
    TIA

    Bill

I'm scratching my head right now....What?

Perhaps you shoud just recreate the block, or consider xdata, and subdivide
the components into individual parts and branches.

Yes you can do this - and you can change the order of the attributes.

    The meat:

Can you add a new attribute in between existing attributes in a drawing?

I was thinking of remaking the block.

    Thanks
