How does one attach database files to AutoCAD drawings? Are there specific commands or do I require to learn VBA or AutoLISP for it?

Also, can anyone suggest a good book for it.

    Thanks!

Can you give an example application?
    What you mean by "attach"?

Lets say there is a 3D autoCAD drawing of a building. I want to select some particular points in the drawing(maybe floor corners etc) and attach some database files to it so that when I click those poitns on the drawing, it should open a menu with the data from the database file.

    Thanks once again!

Would hyperlinks work for you? You can launch an application
by right clicking over a hyperlink and choose to open the link.

You can add a hyperlink to an area or to an object.
