Attach raster image

Discussion in 'AutoCAD' started by Andrea Kürzl, Jul 4, 2003.

  1. I am working in Acad 2000, and I am using scans in my drawing.
I the jpg-raster image is inserted, but it is not part of the dwg.
So when I send it somewhere, I always have to send the external jpg-file
    too.

How can i make my raster image part of the dwg?

And another Q: The scatch I attach is a drawing on a white sheet of paper.
Is there a way to make the white color of the paper invisible or
transparent? So I can see only the drawing and not the white square of the
    paper.

    Thanks, A.

    It does not work here.
I attached a jpg. How can I make this be part of the drawing, so I can
    delete the original jpg-file?

I promise you, if you insert something as an OLE object, you *can* delete
the source and it will remain part of the binary DWG file. If not, then
something is wrong with your AutoCAD installation or the operating system
that is keeping the OLE insertion from working right.
