Associative Dimension Update

This may be related to the associative hatch question
back in July. I have an associative diameter dim that
is attached to a circle. I modify the circle diameter
using VBA and but the dimension doesn't update. If I
rotate the circle - using grips or the rotate command -
around its center (a non operation, really), the dim
updates. I can also use sendcommand to force a move
command with zero displacement, the dim also updates.
That was fine for one application but now I want to go
across spaces (from model to paper) and the pseudo move
isn't going to cut it. I suspect Autodesk has used a
reactor to implement the associative dim functionality
and the event will only fire on a UI action. I don't
know much about reactors but maybe somebody here can
give me a tip on how to force the update?
