I've loaded Autosketch V7 on a Windows XP computer. It appears to work fine. We can draw and save our files. But, when I go to open a previously saved file, it will not open. I can see the drawing in the preview window, but I get an error message that says 'file type not recognized'. Is this a compatibility issue with Win XP? OR what???

  2. I use R7 now and have used it on XP on both my desktop and laptop for the last year or so without any problems. I am waiting for R9 to come in the mail. I hope I have the same success with it.

The user of the computer logged off and back on, still no success with opening saved files. We then rebooted the computer and... 'poof', now we can open saved files. Oh well, as long as it works now.

Alex's Law - 95% of all computer problems are solved by rebooting.

An observation - 4% can be cured by asking someone in a newsgroup.

Len's Corollary -The rest can handled with a shotgun.

Calling tech support is just a way to get hours of free music (assuming
    you have an 800 number).

    Just a note
I just upgrade my home computer to XP (home)
I did disable the firewall / AV in both Morton and WIN/XP(h)
    then in able it
Installed Ver 7 and all my old files(from work)
    they all open fine.
    there is a another note.
Just treat the disk with some care.
I don't beleive how some people treat CD's
I don't keep track on how many times CD's are damaged (at work)
    music is one thing
    data and programs are another.
    just my two cents worth.
