I would like to generate a flange program that draws a flange, and also allows the user to "right-click" the flange to change it's size-rating, etc (an intelligent object?). Is ARX the only way to accomplish this? Can something like this be done in LISP or VBA?

  2. Either you have to use ARX to make custom object OR if you want to spent a
little cash, There is a programming environment called SharpLisp by 3rd Day
    Software
(http://www.objectdcl.com/SharpLisp.html) that allows you to program custom
objects in a Visual Lisp environment.
