How can I meassure the area of a very complicated object? This object
(2d) has very much holes and lines in it, wich I don't want to add to
the objects area. Plines aren't used. thanks!

  2. Are the entities that form the original hatch boundary still
in the file and in the same place?
If so use BOUNDARY and then AREA.

Thanks, but there are approx. 1100 circles and other smal spaces
(boundaries) wich I want to subtract from a rectangle. With the Area
command I have to select them one by one, so isn't there a other way
    to do this?

  4. It depends....on the relationships between the
circles and other items forming the boundary.

The more specific the question, the more specific the
    answer can be.

If they don't overlap, you can make a selection set of circles using SELECT,
    FILTER, or LISP
and feed this to the area command when subtracting.

Turn the object and all the holes into regions (You will have to make
them polylines first.) Use SUBTRACT to remove the areas of the holes
from the object. LIST the object.
