arcs to lines

I have a user that needs to run thermal calculation on a die profile. The software he users does not support arcs. He's requested a routine that will allow him to change all arcs to lines. Basically replace the arc with 2 lines. 1 from the arc start-point to the arc mid-point to the arc end-point. Which sounds easy - and that part kinda is. But he wants the routine to check for quadrents on the arcs and have the routine draw from quadrent to quadrent and only draw lines for arc using the 3 points if quadrents don't exist.

    Anybody have any ideas?
