Anyone have a "custom" open dialog box?

  1. One that would list what layout tabs are defined in
the selected file? That large grey area under the
preview window would be perfect for something
    like this.

Expanding on that a bit, it would be even nicer to
have the option of previewing a particular layout
rather than the one that was current on the last save.

    Hiya Murph.
Say hi to the folks over there for me. Adesk is as 'out there' as I plan on
    going at this new job!

Interesting idea. The layouts listed shouldn't be to hard to list a list of
them but a preview of them all might be tricky seeing a thumbnail needs to
be made and saved in the dwg file. With only 3 or 4 layouts not a promblem
but some of these users that have 10,20 or more layouts might run into
    bloated files.

  4. I'm not sure how much a file size increases due to
a thumbnail. With the compression that 2005 is
doing, I don't think it would be a big deal (could
    be wrong).

Will do, don't forget about the webside in time of needs.

It's not the time of need, it's the need of time! No time for drivel, news,
juju or jotto, let alone chess.
It feels mighty good to be doing something productive every minute of my
workday for a change. Amazing what a rut I'd fallen into at the old place,
and the lack of demanding work promoted bad time-use habits.

  7. Still toying around with that ObjectDCL from
time to time. But don't have a single project
that I have been able to complete :(

Listing the tabs would be easy with ObjectDCL - the preview would be tricky
    .. . ..
