Is there any limitation of Flexlm installing on a NT/2000/XP workstation as
    a AutoCAD 2005/2004/2002 server?
the limitation I mean is the no. of License it can hold. I heard there is a
limitation of 10 license it can handle by a workstation because of "inbound
connection". Is this correct? Is this recommended to use server if the no.
of AuoCAD License is over 10?

    Thanks

  2. From what I remember some have been successful in running more than 10
licenses on a workstation. If you search among the older messages you might
    find a better answer.

The 10 user limit is based on concurrent persistent connections. I don't know for sure, but I believe Flex/LM uses intermittent connections to request and maintain license sessions across the network. You *could* possibly get away with hosting more than 10 but if you're running a business with multiple users, you're better off hosting it on a business-capable host (i.e. a server o/s). Why risk it causing problems at the worst possible time?
