annoying registration pop-up.

We just got all new workstations for everyone here. YaY! A fresh load
of v8, and we're off!
However, we are now intermittently getting the annoying registration
pop-up. We are on select server.
I just got off the phone with Select Services, they told me they cannot
do anything about it.
Believe it or not, they said they are getting complaints about this.
No kidding, why should they be better than me, my users complain to me
about it.
The MS_OWTREG variable doesn't appear to exist anymore in the 08.05
version we are running.
Ack. Can some one tell me how to kill this thing?

 

How exactly do you have the variable defined and where are you defining
it at? We use the variable in our site configuration and have the
latest release of V8 running. We don't get the registration screen.

 

I'm sorry, I don't understand. MS_OWTREG used to be a variable you
could set in msconfig to avoid the pop up. Evidently Bentley
eliminated it. From what I read they didn't like people being able to
disable the pop-up.
Which variable in your site config do you use?
