AMI 0.5um library/Cadence (IC6.1.1.64)

Discussion in 'Cadence' started by subbian.vignesh, Sep 12, 2008.

  1. HI,

    I'm using AMI 0.5 library (with MOSIS padframe) for a project

    I have the required environment variables for this library
    export OSUcells=~/osu/osu_stdcells
    PATH=$PATH:$OSUcells/flow/bin
    export PATH

    I also have the .lib file in my working directory.The OSU standard
    cell libraries show up in the library manager but when try to draw a
    schematic using the schematic editor, I see the OSU_ami05 displayed in
    the component browser along with the other libraries but I don't see
    the components under it being displayed. Is it an incompatibility
    problem with the new version of the cadence or Am I missing something?
    Also do we have any library with MOSIS padframe and compatible with
    this new version. If so, where can I get them?

    Thanks for your help!!

    I guess that the OSU Library was made in CDB format, and the IC611
    just works with OpenAccess... Did you try to convert it using cdb2oa
    tool? There is a good tutorial in doing this here:

    http://www.chiptalk.org/modules/wfsection/article.php?articleid=14

    Maybe I have the library translated in my computer, and I can send it
    to you if you want.

    Hi Vignesh,

    Please look at the cdb2oa documentation from your IC stream.
    These skill functions tell you about your database type/version
    dbGetDatabaseType()/dbGetBuildInfo()

    Cheers,
    Riad.
