Alternates to HP for a color laser?

Just wondering if I should stick with HP or look elsewhere. We have all HP printers and always have. Currently we are
looking for a 11x17 color laser. Does anyone have any non hp recommendations of printers they are actually using? Or
is HP still king? We currently have an old HP 5000 and I am looking at a 5500n to replace it. How are the per sheet
costs? Because its a color laser, does the black-n-white print cost go way up?

    Dave:
This is the best comparison that I have seen.
