Aligned vrs Rotated linear dims.

  1. Is there an autocad proceedure to make
an existing linear dimension switch between
Aligned and Rotated linear dim types?

Not out of the box -- maybe try asking in the customization section? As you
point out, they are two different entity types (linear dim & aligned dim).

What I would like to know is why ALL of my linear dims are shown as rotated?

What is the rotation angle? It could be that because we now have linear
dimensions rather than vertical or horizontal, AutoCAD keeps track of
which way it is by setting a rotation angle of either 0 or 90 degrees.

I guessed from the way you worded your original question that you wanted to be able to convert rotated (i.e., linear) dimensions to aligned dimensions.

From your reply, it looks like that's not the case -- rather, you are experiencing some sort of problem with what should be horizontal or vertical dimensions... is that correct?

Can you describe exactly what is happening with your dimensions, and what you would like to have happen, or what you think should be happening?
