    Hi

I am working in model space at 1:1 and have successfully used the
aligned dimensions function for a series of lots in an estate layout.
The problem I am having is that I can't seem to change the size of the
dimension. I have tried changing the size in Dimstyle however it still
remains at the same size on the screen no matter what size (eg 5 or
    20) I put in the text size box.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

    Matt

  2. Does the text style in the dimension style have a fixed height?

You may need to "update dimensions".

Look at the Text style itself.
Did you give it a fixed height ?

The text style height which is used for dimensions OVERIDES the text height
that you input in the dimension style manager. For that reason it is wise to
always make a dimension style text at "0" height. This way your dimension
style manager will dictate the height of the text.

If you use the STYLE command to control the Text Height of the
Dimension. you will have to type DIM and then UPDATE, and click on the
dimension to view the changed text height.

I agree with the other comment, it is best to set the text STYLE
height to 0 and control the text heights in the DDIM command using
    "dimension styles"
