After Cell insertion - dimensions flip??

    I am using vJ and am curious why the dimensions within my cell are
    flipped after the cell is placed. I know about the keyin- mdl load
    calculat;calc tcb->ad4.ext_dimflg.viewRotation=1 and I invoked that
    before the dimenions were placed prior to cell creation. Is there
    something I am missing- like to do I also have to invoke the keyin in
    the file that I am placing the cells.

    in additon after I type this in the keyin

    calc tcb->ad4,ext_dimflg.viewRotation=1

    I get this error

    "Calculator: symbol "ext_dimflg" not defined

  3. The comma after ad4 should be a period.
    i.e.
    calc tcb->ad4.ext_dimflg.viewRotation=1

    Dan,
    The period.comma was a posting error.

    Let me restate my problem:

    After invoking the correct "calc" command prior to dimension placement
    this is what happens...

    If I reference the file the dimensions work properly no matter the
    rotation.

    But if the elements in the base file are used to create a cell. Once
    the cell is placed the dimensions flip. Almost like the 'calc'
    command has no effect on cell creation/placement.

  5. Redbyrd,

    I'm see the same thing here on MSJ 07.01.04.16. When I,m dragging the
    cell around in dynamics it looks fine. As soon as a place it with a data
    point the dimensions flip. calc tcb->ad4.ext_dimflg.viewRotation=1 has
    no effect.
